This Refund Policy applies to all bookings made with Paris À La Carte Tours through our website (https://parisalacartetours.com), by email, or via approved third-party booking platforms.

This policy is an integral part of our Terms and Conditions and is designed to comply with applicable French/EU consumer protection laws and U.S. consumer transparency standards.

By booking our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this Refund Policy.

1. General Principles

 

Paris À La Carte Tours offers private, customized tour services that require advance planning and reservation of time slots. As a result, cancellations impact our ability to rebook services and guides.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to booking@parisacltours.com. The effective cancellation date is the date and time the email is received.

2. Client-Initiated Cancellations

 

Refunds are issued based on the time remaining before the scheduled tour start time, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions:

  • More than 7 days before the tour date:
    → Full refund (100%) of the amount paid

  • Between 3 and 7 days before the tour date:
    → 50% refund of the amount paid

  • Less than 72 hours before the tour date or no-show:
    → No refund

These conditions apply regardless of the reason for cancellation, including travel delays, personal circumstances, or changes to travel plans.

3. Changes and Rescheduling

​

  • Requests to modify or reschedule a booking must be made at least 72 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

  • Requests made less than 72 hours before the scheduled tour time may be treated as cancellations and are non-refundable.

  • Paris À La Carte Tours reserves the right to refuse changes if availability does not permit.

4. Cancellations by Paris À La Carte Tours

 

In the unlikely event that Paris À La Carte Tours must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (including illness, safety concerns, force majeure events, or events beyond our reasonable control), clients will be offered:

  • A full refund, or

  • The option to reschedule the tour at no additional cost

No further compensation shall be due.

5. Force Majeure

 

Paris À La Carte Tours shall not be held liable for cancellations or modifications caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, public health emergencies, government restrictions, or extreme weather conditions.

In such cases, refunds or rescheduling options will be assessed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable law.

6. Third-Party Costs

 

Refunds do not include non-refundable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf, such as entrance tickets, transportation reservations, booking platform fees, or service charges, unless otherwise required by law.

7. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method.

  • Processing times depend on the payment provider and typically range from 5 to 10 business days.

  • Any transaction or processing fees charged by third-party payment providers may be deducted where legally permitted.

8. Legal Compliance

 

This Refund Policy is governed by French law and complies with:

  • French consumer law (Code de la consommation)

  • EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights

  • U.S. consumer transparency and fair business practice standards

Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory statutory rights.
